Property

Bitter, neutral, slightly toxic; heart and lung meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and eliminate phlegm, remove food retention and kill parasites.

Indications

Indigestion, asthma with cough, sores and boils, infantile malnutrition, pharyngitis and leucorrhea.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~6 g, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, decocted for washing or made into paste for applying, or pounded into powder for puffing through throat.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of deficiency cold in spleen and stomach.
