Bitter, cold, slightly toxic; stomach meridian entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, relieve cough.

Indications

Malaria, mumps, cough, measles, amygdalitis, cold with fever, sphagitis.
for oral use; traumatic bleeding, sores and boils, snake bites and haemorrhoids for external application.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~15 g, or 30~60 g of the fresh. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying whth the fresh.

Cautions

It is contraindicated to the weak and pregnant women.
