四白

Sibai(ST2,四白) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Yangming Stomach Meridian of Foot.

Location

Directly below the pupil, in the depression over the infraorbital foramen, when the eyes are looking straight ahead.

Indication

• ①redness with swelling and pain in the eyes, twitching of the eyelids, glaucoma;
• ②deviation of the eye and mouth, facial spasms, trigeminal neuralgia, and other facial diseases;
• ③headache,dizziness.

Method

Perpendicular insertion 0.3-0.5 cun. Deep insertion are inadvisable to avoid injuring eyeball, and it is also in advisable to manipulate the needle with large amplitudes.
