Zuqiaoyin

Zuqiaoyin(GB44,足窍阴) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Shaoyang Gall Bladder Meridian of Foot. It is the Jing-well and metal point of the medidian.

Location

On the dorsum of the 4th toe, about 0.1 cun lateral to the corner of the base of the nail of the 4th toe.

Indication

• ①Headache, swollen eyes, tinnitus, deafness, redness with pain of the eye, sore throat, and other heat syndromes of the five sense organs;
• ②pain in the chest and hypochondriac region, pain in the dorsum of the foot.

Methods

Sit, or lie on back, make each line on the margo lateralis of the fourth claw nail of the toe and basal part, then choose the point in the intersection between two lines.
