Ingredients

Explanation

Ren Shen: Invigorating primordial Qi, strengthening the spleen and stomach.

Bai Zhu: Strengthening the spleen and drying dampness.

Fu Ling: Inducing diuresis and strengthening the spleen, assisting Bai Zhu in promoting the transforming and transporting function of the spleen.

Zhi Gan Cao: Invigorating Qi, regulating the stomach, tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.

Chen Pi: Promoting the flow of Qi to regulate the stomach, arresting vomiting.

The Effect of Yi Gong San

Effect

Strengthen the spleen and regulate the flow of qi.

Indications

Weakness in spleen and stomach, vomit with diarrhea, poor appetite, loose stool, qi stagnation in middle-Jiao, choking sensation in chest.

Administrations

Decoct in water with Sheng Jiang 15 g and Da Zao 2 dates for empty stomach to be taken twice.
