The drug is the dried entire herb of Drymotaenium miyoskianum (Mak.)Mak. (family Polypodiaceae), growing on trunks, and distributed in Zhejiang, Taiwan, Hubei, Guangdong, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan of China.

It is used to tranquilize the mind, clear heat and activate blood ; for the treatment of infantile convulsion and overstrain.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~18 g, or soaked in wine.
