Property

Bland, slightly bitter, slightly cold.

Actions

Clear heat and induce diuresis, promote the flow of qi, activate blood, promote digestion, promote the secretion of milk.

Indications

Edema, stranguria, rheumatic arthritis, indigestion, irregular menstruation, abdominal mass, hypogalactia.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 30~60 g, or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.

Constipation

It is contraindicated in case of qi deficiency without damp-heat and pregnant women.
