Property

Bitter, cold; spleen, liver and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and dry dampness, resolve swelling, remove toxicity.

Indications

Eczema, sore throat, jaundice, diarrhea, swelling and pain of eyes, sores, dysentery caused by damp-heat, tuberculosis with hemoptysis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 10~15 g, or 30~60 g of the fresh. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of deficiency cold in the spleen and stomach.
