Sweet, bitter, cool.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, induce diuresis and resolve swelling.

Indications

Sores and boils, traumatic injury, acute mastitis, snake bites, dysentery, hematuria, leucorrhea, acute nephritis, stranguria with turbid discharge, sore throat, influenza, rheumatic arthritis, conjunctivitis, ascites due to cirrhosis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~15 g, or 30~60 g of the fresh. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying or made into juice for mouthwash.
