Property

Sweet, cold; small intestine, bladder and liver meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, promote diuresis and treat stranguria, activate blood and dredge meridians.

Indications

Heat stranguria, difficult urination, edema, morbid leucorrhea, diarrhea, cold, asthma, aphtha, sore throat, burns and scalds, traumatic injury, traumatic bleeding, skin itch, rheumatic arthritis, mumps, erysipelas, acute mastitis, hepatitis, gonorrhea, urolithiasis, urine with blood, swelling and pain of eyes, herpes zoster.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~30 g, or 30~90 g with the fresh product, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, decocted for washing or pounded for applying with fresh product.
