Ba Bao Cha (Ramulus et Folium Euonymus Przewalskii)

The drug is the dried or fresh branch and leaf of Euonymus przewalskii Maxim. (Family Celestraceae), growing in scrub, on hillside, and distributed in Hebei, Shanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Si chuan and Tibet of China.
The Effect of Ba Bao Cha
Property
Pungent, bitter, slightly cold;liver meridian entered.
Actions
Remove blood stasis, regulate menstruation, dredge meridians and alleviate pain.
Indications
Abdominal pain by postpartum blood clots, amenorrhea, arthrodynia, carbuncles, blood stasis caused by traumatic injury, hemiplegia, etc.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 3~9 g, or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, decocted for washing.
Contraindication
It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
